I might have to try that with my current single speed which is an 84 trek 760. The issue is that bike was made as a race bike for light riders so I'm scared that I'd break the frame if I added a rack to it for groceries. I wouldn't mind taking the time to fashion a set of fenders to fit the bike. I think that would be incredible.
