I can't get my cassette back on!
This is blowing my mind. I removed my cassette for general maintenance and now when I put it back together, I cannot get the lock ring to engage. It appears the stack is too "high".
It is a Shimano 10 spd (105). I have the 1mm spacer on before the first cog. Everything looks right to me, all spacing is equal between cogs.
It is not a thread problem, the lockring screws in just fine if I remove the outer cog. The threads are just too far away to even try to start.
I put the stack on and off a dozen times last night and for the life of me, I can't figure it out. What am I missing?
