Only slightly. Rear cages dig into your sneakers. It's awesome for clip cleats as, the rear cage automatically dig into your clip-cleats as you slip on. It's prolly designed that way. Very clever. But contact surface is very small because the region near axle is receded. Probably designed that way assuming I would be wearing cleats for it.
