if you're waffling on a $15 bike at a garage sale....buy it.

Came upon a absolutely gorgeous original Sears Austrian Made 3 Speed for $15. Had the speedometer that the owner originally put on along with the side mirror. I have the exact bike except it's the U.S. made model that I paid $25 for and this was waaaaay nicer. Had the S/A hub and the original seat which barely looked used. Paint looked almost brand new.

I walked back to the car and called my wife. She said go back and buy it....it's only $15 bucks. And sure enough, in that 3-4 minute time span, I came back to witness someone loading it in their van. I told the guy that I was just coming to buy that and he happily exclaimed "I'm glad I beat you to it."

That's something I hope will never happen again.

Totally off subject......does anyone know anything about Savoy bikes. I haven't been able to find much online about them
