The one I got was the $18 Zefail (Ironic name?) model. I can say that it IS light.

I would bet there's SOMETHING about that bag that is wrong with it, compared to the LBS-sold bag. That thing just might not become apparent until several months of use.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, you almost NEVER save money by going with the cheapest option available. Always go for the mid-priced name brand item, unless you've got money to spend, in which case make sure you buy the RIGHT item for you...because a poorly-selected high-end item isn't going to be as good as a lower-priced item that's right for the job.


OTOH, the high-end-of-the-bargain brand can often be a surprisingly good deal (often better than the 'low-end-of-the-name brand)...but in those cases it's better not to buy sight-unseen, or at least without a solid return policy.
