Lol. I had to be a 4 to race battenkill so I petitioned to the local usac rep to get upgraded to a 4. I had endorsements from a cat 2 and a couple of cat 3s, so it was pretty easy. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have done it. The 5s are a good place to learn a lot about racing, and it would have helped me be a little stronger when I finally moved to the 4s.


And unless you've raced, I guarantee that you don't ride like you race. Racing will teach you a whole new level of suffering.
