Did you use the regular derailliuer guides for the IGH cables? I doing that on a few of my bikes, uses up the empty braze-ons and no need to Drew 'em.
I'm doing that on my Lambert; shifter cable on the left side, drum brake cable on the right. It's not quite ideal, but as you say. Better have it in use than redundant or, worse, drewed.
