It's amazing -- oh, not for the Campy and SRAM disciples who love "firm" shifting and a good "clunk" with their shifts -- but for those who like silent, deadly, smooth shifting, it makes everything else feel primitive.)

The way the price is coming down, I could see a LOT of 7970 shift kits moving in the next 12 months. Within three years, electronic shifting will be normal on this board. Cabled stuff will be strictly low-end.
