Bikes: Surly LHT set up for commuting

It looks like a great option for a commuter, especially with the discount. You will probably end up installing fenders, a rear rack, and maybe some lighting / flashers (depending on the traffic). With a 10mi commute (each way) you will probably start looking at rear bags or panniers pretty quickly; Most people find backpacks uncomfortable after awhile. You will definitely want to replace the pedals as soon as possible with Wellgo platforms or another decent cheap option, many Clydes end up snapping those cheap resin things right off when they pedal hard.
