That would be my call. Stone axes, I've gotten 2+ seasons on one battery, great customer service, you don't have to send it in to be re calibrated if you change rings like with Quark, you can calibrate it yourself with a known weight. The head unit is both proprietary and doesn't self eject if you hit a bump (I've seen at least a dozen lost/found Garmin/PT posts locally).
Ebay I've seen them go for around $1k.
I swapped mine between 4 different bikes. Recently sold it and went wireless which I also bounce between bikes, takes less than 5 minutes to swap out.
The real budget option is the wired PT CC was (is?) selling new for $600 and change. Good training wheel.
