Dura Ace SRM without a head unit is $3,000 plus. http://www.competitivecyclist.com/ro...7623.67.0.html

Quarq without a head unit is $1600-1800.

Either can be run with an array of head units, including the Garmin 500. (for $249)

So you're paying about $1,000 to $1200 more for the Dura Ace SRM.

You get a great crank, SRm's track record, but give up a user serviceable battery.

To me it comes down to do you like the Dura Ace crank $1,000 better? and are you willing to put up with the battery hassle?
