Just had my bars re-wrapped and rr. hub adjusted also, replaced tubes and tires last night. I had so many flats recently that I went back to Conti Tour Rides, 700x28's compared with the road tires I've been using since March. Man, the weight and handling penalty is severe with these tires. They are heavy, squishy and, fold easily on turn in-the bike feels like a tank once again. Oh well, I can deal if it cuts down on all the flatting. I will also replace my worn brake hoods this week. Next is the jockey pullies in the rr. deraileur (or, maybe a whole new der.).
Other than that, it was wonderful to be back on the bike. The whole family got a stomach virus last weekend and spent the weekend puking and (other). I couldn't keep anything down, even water, and as such was dehydrated and way behind on calories so, I spent Monday at home and took Metro yesterday. I'm catching up today and should be back to normal soon. Looking forward to the ride home-no matter what the weather :-)
