I changed the battery at the beginning of this year. It wasn't dead yet, but I was going to Radio Shack for Powertap batteries anyway.

It's never died during a ride.

I did have a problem with it dropping out in the Tampa downtown crit, rattling over the very rough brick sections. Pulled the metal connecter under the battery out a fraction to hold the battery more snug, and it hasn't done it again.
