From there you and others seemed to feel the need to debunk the CDC chart, rather than answering a simple question. Was it because you didn't read or comprehend my original question, or is it because you felt the need to evangelize? I'd prefer to assume the latter, rather than question your intelligence by going with the former.

So again, if protecting your head is so important to you and considering that 20% of all TBI is caused by automobile accidents, despite airbags and seat belts (which ironically are the CDC's recommendation for automobiles, rather than head protection), why do you feel compelled to wear a helmet on your bike, but not in the car?
Because in a car there is an airbag and a seatbelt protecting me from the road, and other cars, not to mention the windshield, etc. On a bicycle, there is no such protection, and often times I'm traveling at 3/4 the speed I see in a car on the same road. Now, stay with me here, you want to say you're not comparing cycling and driving, yet here you are, using statistics from the two that do not take into account the percentage of the population that does both. And you are making assumptions about my intelligence? Can I further state using your same argument, that highwire walking is completely safe, since it doesn't even make the list? Don't try to tell me it has something to do with the fact that a very very small number of people walk on a highwire, because you have already suggested that plays no part in your argument.
