Dismounting and walking around is not cool, as per doohickie. The law disallows me from walking my car around lights, a bike is no different. Check the law/statutes. No different at all. It is governed by the same laws as long as taxes come out of your pocket.
The seeds (of instability) seem to have been planted alright; right where you get the baloney that
a bike is no different than a car and since a motorist can't walk around a school bus neither can a cyclist and the law says so; those seeds are in the same place where you get the same wacky association for your explanation with taxes that come out of your pocket.
