When I started this thread... I figured I would be in a bigger minority than I'm in. But there are several people here who don't wear helmets. I really do believe that a lot of us have a sixth sense when we're on the road or bike path. I know nothing will happen to me that I'm in control of. I don't ride wrecklessly at any point. I'm very cautious.

I do know that there are things I can't control. Like a 16 year old girl that just got her license... and she's out driving in her new car that her daddy bought her... and she's texting on her phone as she drives along. And that's the chance I take. She could easily veer over the center line and collide head on with another vehicle too.
