I do have to note that you're looking to do some soldering and such with the SRM to swap batteries etc, if you don't want to pay the 100 bucks every year to have them swapped out. The Quarq's don't have the same issue. The PT will need to be sent back at some point given how everyone's here has had some shenanigans happen.
Wheels take a lot more abuse than cranks do, so this isn't really unexpected.
I'm probably shipping my quarq back during down time for recalibration anyway. While I agree user changeable batteries are nice, ~$100 annually for some TLC doesn't seem that crazy.
