Regardless of your position on this issue, this statement does not support your argument.
Your helmet cracked because it's 7mm of plastic and designed to crack.
No one is arguing against helmets providing a minimal level of protection.
The argument falters however, when one brings (not necessarily you) hysterics about the cracked and damaged helmet
'that could have been my head' !
