Based on an observation from the lady last night

While winding down for the evening, my girlfriend looked at me and said "Your right leg is a lot bigger than your left leg".

After about 78 measurements...my right quad is about half an inch thicker than my left. This coincides with a continual battle of getting rid of pain in my knees. Fix the left, the right is fubar, fix the right the left is fubar.

More notable, I think, for about 7 years I've had pain in my left hip after hard rides, hard workouts (in the gym, before I rode) and even when I get off my motorcycle.

I presume the difference in leg mass and the annoying pains I get in my legs are related...

1. Is such a discrepancy in muscle mass abnormal?
2. What kind of doctor do you go for for something like this if there is a problem?
