I just bought a VO saddle (sprung version) which is made in the same factory as Cardiff. Mine was incredibly uncomfortable during my first 60 mile ride (after a few 10-15 milers). I loosened the tension and removed the "apron strings" to break it in. It is a good deal more comfortable now, I rub it down a bit with Mink Oil Paste and that seems to sink in from the top. The jury is still out but I will ride it as is until I have over 500 miles on it, it does keep getting more comfortable.
