Pcadette had no issues with the SATs. She scored a combined 2010 on the three parts (650 math, 660 verbal, 700 written essay). That puts her in the 94th percentile of college bound HS students. Her scores are high enough that she can apply to schools like Columbia and NYU and actually have a chance of getting in. She also is also in the top 20 in her class of over 450 kids, so she has good grades. I'm very proud of her. When I was in high school I had mediocre grades and my SATs were lower (1210 combined under the old system, that would equate to about 1800 today, but I was a good writer, so figure 1900 or so). I got by on my questionable artistic talent, my matinee idol looks and my cutting edge wit. In other words I was skating on thin friggin ice.
Let's hope that brings some scholarship dough. Because if it doesn't I'll be entering the Bike Schwag Desert for a few years.
