any advice on the course other than the obvious?
Course is pretty boring, particularly for the sub 140lb crowd (including myself). But you can definitely put some hurt on in the 4's, particularly with the winds forecasted.

Just make sure you're in the top few, or even leading, when the group is about to turn into the crosswinds. Course makes a couple turns, and those transitions from head to cross or tail to cross are going to be the make-it-or-break-it points in the race. Don't make yourself ride across gaps just because you were too far back.

If you find yourself on the the front in a crosswind, put the field in the gutter. Wind from the right=ride the yellow line. Wind from the left=ride the edge of the road. You can very easily cause some splits doing that.

Focus on making the splits for the first half of the race. Don't initiate, just make the splits. Just like last DT, it's going to take more a group of 5+ go hold a gap. Check out which teams have numbers, and if something goes with all the big teams you need to be in it.

Coming into the finish will be a crosswind I think. Sprint up the non-wind side if you can. You've been riding better and better, no reason you can't take a W tomorrow.
