1 hour of active recovery today. My let hip was hurting (deep, dorsal, just below the joint) when I woke up this AM. Yesterday I did 1.5 hours of HARD SST and maybe the cadence was too low, i.e. "mashing". And I haven't been doing much riding like that in some time so maybe my legs are just reacting badly to the training stress. I also did some stretches specifically for that area this morning.
It felt fine while spinning in the little ring today, however. I'm hoping that all of this is muscle related and not joint related. My dad had 3 hip replacement surgeries. (Yes, I know that he only had 2 hip joints, but one of them was botched and had to be redone.) And genetically I am VERY close to my dad even to the point of position of cysts on my body. We have had them in the same places at the same ages. This is why I am a bit worried. I have been there to help him through hip replacement recovery and it really sux.
