As I said above, my chest strap from 16 years ago is still working fine. The new one crapped out after only a year. But as you said, I like the idea of a replaceable battery, but am unaware of any chest strap made by Polar with that feature. Their website doesn't show any either. I'll be getting the Omron one someone suggested in another thread next. They even advertise their feature by taunting Polar.
