+1. The more you ride your bike, the more you'll appreciate that bikes, like everything else, change in time. The anguish about the perfect appearance of the bike will dissipate in time, replaced with stories about the rides themselves. Of more importance is the maintenance you'll give the bike.
Having said that, if you post a picture of the stains we may guess better.
