Badhat -- I love the effort and the performance. Sure, one could break this down to race smarts and such. But, what I think is great and will endure is the effort. You stayed away for a long time and battled through some tough cramps (and running out of gears). I'm thinking down the road and it all looks really good for you. Sure, debate how much higher you could have placed. I think the bigger story/lesson is the way you are setting your body and mind up for future races!! And, 12th place is still pretty sweet!
