It's a 1997 model. I have one just like it out in the garage. It is a great ride. I just finished restoring some of the bits and pieces that I'd changed over the years so that I could bring it back to original condition. Although, I changed the original 8-speed 105 brifters to Ultegra 9-speed as I couldn't scare up any suitable 8-speed units. At one time I had looked at changing out the steel fork for a CF unit. At the time I was considering that move Performance had their house branded 1" CF fork with AL steerer available. I had also looked at a CK 1" headset for it. This went by the wayside when I decided to restore to original, and the Cinelli HB/stem combo had to stay.

Good luck whatever you decide. That bike will be a nice smooth ride for many years.
YMMV
