But I think its better to have a longer hem, because when I'm riding, the bottem of the shants?/knicker? is still an inch or two below my knee, so my knee-cap doesn't get any wind chill. I guess they just seem longer when I'm standing, but on the bike they totally make sense.
I was going to buy some Dickies, have a local seamstress take out the baggyness, and then hem them up, but it was going to cost a lot and I wasn't too sure of how long to tell the seamstress to hem them.
Learn to sew! I hear it's pretty easy. I'm lucky and my girlfriend is pretty handy with a sewing machine, but I suspect taking in jeans (taking out the bagginess) or dickies wouldn't be too hard.
