i do have the sl and looks good so far after like 2 years. But my riding is pretty light. Bought the SL because of the bling bling factor. The gold plated has not faded after two years that is way better than the campagnolo record one i had before that sort of faded and got all crappy after a year.
No idea about the other models because i went straigth from campangolo record to the kmc 10 sl gold, and so far so good.
Wow 2 years? I think I replace one at least every year
I'm about 8 months on a x10 regular and it seems to be holding up. it makes a ton more noise than a dura-ace chain now so i've been thinking of replacing it
