Took the chain off my bike and gave the drivetrain a pretty thorough cleaning this weekend. I'm sure it's partly psychological, but the bike just seems to go so much more smoothly when it's all cleaned up. Chain's looking a little worn, though. Borderline for replacement using the Sheldon Brown ruler method, so I guess that'll be the next preventive maintenance item to take care of.

Had to wait around for some repairmen to come around and fix some stuff in our apartment, so I didn't leave for work until around noon. Still pleasantly cool... temps around 70, I'd say. A lot more people out on the MUP around noon than I thought there would be.

Going out tonight after work, so I guess the bike will stay here at the office, and I'll metro back in to the office tomorrow AM. Boo hiss on that one. Oh well. I can look forward to a ride tomorrow afternoon at least.
