You're stretching reality a bit.
Wooden rims and shoe soles went the way of the dodo bird quite a while ago, so did leather brake pads and hair net helmets.
Stainless steel water bottles, Brooks saddles and leather bar tape on the other hand,... :-)
Then again, in reality, I have a Brooks Pro for comfort, not for style. I have cotton handlebar tape and a plastic water bottle.
