I believe would be cheaper to ask people in the forums if they can spare parts for you to ridiculously low prices or maybe for free. The only issue is that everybody loves bikes so to get the frame will be the hardest part.

Have you look at CL in your area? Lately good old bikes are showing up at CL my friend.
