LindaN .... Congrats on getting a new bike, always fun !!!

Well I got a ride in today that almost ended in DISASTER!! Started off riding with my friend on a rails to trails, trail from Palatka going west on SR100. Its not paved yet, just cleared and cut good for mountain bike riding. Actually pretty good riding a rocky base (leftover from the railroad) with grass growing in some areas. We got to a railroad trestle and I decided I wanted to take a picture, looked kind of cool. Took the phone out and wallet that are under the seat (take them out of the plastic bag because it looked like rain). Took a couple of pictures..... at that point the yellow flies were just buzzing around me like crazy trying to bite me. So I hurried up and put them back back under my seat, and we were off. Ended up riding about 11 miles on the trails and then another 4 miles on the road to a point where were going to get picked up. We were both toast ... burnt out at that point. Sandy stretch of trail got us. Anyway my friend says "hey the bag under your seat is unzipped"...... YEP........ I LOST MY WALLET and my iPhone on the trail someplace... I was filled with dread.... He says "we heard your phone ring a few times after the picture taking." I had decided I was NOT going to answer it and get ate up by flies... So our ride showed up and my friend got dropped off at the exit (to the one part of the trail)... and I got dropped off at the other end where we entered (the one part of the trail). All the while my mom is calling my phone as we are riding looking for it... I rode about 2 miles towards my friend while he rode about 2 miles towards me.... Found the phone in the middle of the trail as my friend came around a corner the other way.... OMG i was sooooo relieved.... By the time we got back to the van.... were were both about dead on our feet.... We had a GREAT ride right until the point where we realized I had lost my phone and wallet..... DOH! <----- in a big way.... But makes for a good story ....... in the future .... LOL

Saw 4 baby armadillos right in the middle of the trail bunched together... was kind of cool.... I had never seen a baby one before.... let alone 4 in one place..

ohhhh ended up riding almost 18 miles by the time we got done finding my wallet....
