Do you have pix of a similar setup? I can not quite understand what you are describing. The bikes I find tend to have a bracket welded to the frame (front or rear) or there is a clamp on the generator that you clamp it to the bike with (not kind to the paint). Plenty old pugs around here, but maybe Europe got different setups (like there is more 3 speed IGH pugs here).
