Humid again, but not 92°F like it was yesterday.
Today is the first day I rode all the way to work. 30 miles. Averaged 15 mph with all those stoplights, so maybe 16-17 otherwise? The trip should have been 26 miles, but I missed a turn and wound up in Vernon Hills.
I'm not sure if I'm going to ride home tonight or take the train and right home tomorrow night.
There's another northern IL commuter here, I forget his name at the moment, but I took his hint and took Fairfield Rd. south to Gilmer. That was a great part of the ride. There were a couple dicey spots where I was on a 45 mph 5 lane road and the cagers were passing me as closely as possible. It just blows my mind. They pass me by inches, and I look and see 3 ft. between the left side of their car and the lane line. Makes me want to carry a couple of rocks in my pocket to throw at them. Then, there was a landscaping truck who wouldn't pass me. Two more behind him. Probably going to mow the rich folks' lawns in Lake Forest. By the time they finally got the nerve to pass me, everyone behind them was all mad at me.
So yes, my route needs some refinement.

But I feel great.
