And the utility trip may consist of lots of short rides to a variety of destinations requiring that something be done with the helmet at each one. Taking and wearing a helmet certainly isn't an insurmountable problem, but it does present an inconvenience and may make the difference between deciding to ride vs. drive on a particular trip.
While I can see that wearing a helmet is more of a nuisance to a "utility" rider, it appears you have an inordinate amount of difficulty dealing with a simple and easy task!
