I sometimes carpool to work in the AM and ride home ~34 miles in afternoon. Yesterday was a fantastic ride. I felt really strong and got home to the family at about 4:50 pm, I left work at about 2:45 pm. I was having so much fun, I felt bad for the people stuck in the Beltway rush hour traffic.
For those in Wash DC, ~20 miles of this ride is on the C&O canal between Georgetown and Swains lock. From Swains, I ride west to Montomery Village.
As far as I know, taking blood out of your body and then putting it back in after 2-4 weeks of training will help make you stronger and is legal for a non racer to do.
Getting back in shape can be painful to do. Could blood doping (not using drugs) be a good way to help some overweight Americans get back in shape faster?
The average American fatty doesn't want to do anything mildly strenuous, let alone painful. That's why the infomercials all stress how their new wonder requires no sweat, and just minutes a day.
