I've always wanted to assemble my own bike. I am honestly not well-versed in bicycle mechanics, which is partly why I want to embark on this learning adventure. I think this summer is the summer!

Anyway, I am just trying to gauge where to start. I am a small person, but I think I've found the frame to start with. How much should I expect it to cost to buy all the parts for my from-scratch project? The frame I am looking at seems expensive but would be worth it if all the other parts (gears, pedals, handlebars, etc. - stuff I don't even know yet) don't run too steep...
