I can't comment on the above bike at all. But, I will throw an idea at you? I am on a 2010 Giant Suede DX - retails in the US for around $419.00 brand new. Giant makes other bikes like the "Defy" and the "Rapid", just to name two others - the lower models are in the $400 ish U.S. price bracket.

I am a 350 LBer - and all is well with my bike - the LBS you buy from is key - just an idea - if you go new, you may not inherit another person's problems?
