I too looked at it with both the CF and alloy cranks, but apples to apples though, alloy both, and the diff is only 5g. Still boggles my mind that DA in that configuration costs more.

What's even more obscene is Chorus vs. Ultegra - $1069 vs $1019 and 2395g vs. 2576g. 200g for $50, not to mention the details of Chorus.

Never thought I see the day when Shimano got so proud as to compare Ultegra to Chorus.

I didn't realize that Ultegra's price jumped that much when they went to 10 speed. ( I used to have Ultegra 9 on usedta bike)

Compare Centaur to Ultegra. Centaur is 30 grams lighter and ~$300 cheaper. Now that makes me feel even better about going with Centaur.
