Bike technology improves and you put a lot of miles on your bike, so it's plausible. You seemed like a Cervelo for life person.
Who said anything about 25K miles on the S2? That's how many miles I had on the Six13. The S2 is a little over a year old. Yes, I did think my Cdale was the greatest bike on earth before the S2. I still have a 2007 Six13 CF/alu Slice TT bike, and I really do love that bike too.
The more high end bikes I get familiar with, the more true the 'once you get over three grand none of it sucks' mantra seems to be.
