Seriously though, like they say, something is worth exactly what someone will pay for it. No more, no less! If someone buys that bike for 370$, then that is exactly what it is worth. If someone won't buy yours for that much, then it isn't worth that much. It doesn't matter how much YOU think it is worth, since it isn't your wallet in question.
People appreciate details and photos in auctions, I don't think that is a problem. I mean, you aren't paying by the pixel here. I'd rather buy from someone who is overly verbose than someone who just says, "Schwinn conversion, no sticker, camo bar tape, old tires, the end."
People who make money selling things on ebay aren't geniuses, they just pay attention to the details, and give people what they want. You could do it too! Of course, once everyone is doing it, then no one will be able to make money on it, and you'll have to find the next trendy thing to sell.
