First day commuting the whole way to work & back by bicycle. 56 miles total. 15 mph average. I am exhausted. There are some long rolling hills out this way that are just KILLERS. This is too much to do regularly. I may just do it one way per day, and take the train the other way.
That's an impressive commute!
Mine was my usual 20 mile round trip along the bike path- just beautiful. Really nice night time ride along the river home. On the way in I was traveling into town while most people were leaving but it was encouraging to see how many cyclists were obviously commuting on the bike path. Lots of Silly Commuter Racing going on- fortunately I was going the other way and for me it was a spectator sport.
