In my experience, Scat is not "the same products at a lower price". Scat gives you lower quality products at a lower price. Many of these products are "good enough" if you want to save some money.

I would much rather by a Scat bike than a BD bike, since Performance stores will help you with fitting and sizing and the bike will be competently assembled and ready to ride when you take it home. Assuming you have a Performance store nearby, of course.
