Our perception is shaped by what we expect to see to the extent that a driver (or cyclist) can look for incoming (car) traffic at an intersection and then drive through without even noticing a cyclist approaching said intersection. Two words on the stop sign thing: Idaho Stop. Safer, easier better for cyclists. Coming to a full and complete stop at every stop sign when on a bike does not improve safety.
Funny, i've never heard a California Stop be referred to as an Idaho Stop.
Must be my upbringing...
