Although I can only afford to go to the 1,3 level, I also subscribe to the 1,3,5,6 theory. I believe it was first rule in my horticulture class, followed by the no "meatballing" of shrubs rule. I also have a spot fertilizing machine, however he is insecure enough in his position on the food chain to restrain himself to the outlying borders of the property.
