Just setup my 1st mail in bike

Everything looks good except i have a few extra pieces i have no clue whats it for and there arent any insructions. I just bought the nashbar hounder and it came with a circular sticker, a very small plastic "S" and 2 very small metal nail (not sharp at all but doesnt have any thread, please see attached pictures). I have no clue what these are for. Can someone enlighten me?

2nd, the bike came with a plastic chain protector however when i move the pedals it hits it. I tried adjusting the 2 screws that its attached to, 1 in the back and 1 in the middle, however it still hits the crank. There are 3 holes on the plastic thing and the 3rd hole doesnt have thing to be mounted on. The 3rd hole is where the crank is hitting it. There isnt a frame near the 3rd hole so i have no clue how this hole can be used. Is there anyway i can fix this?

3rd the chain isnt smooth when turning the pedals backwards. I only notice this when i hand pedal it not when im riding it. Is this normal?

Thank you all for your help and looking forward to your answers.
