Thanks for the opinions, folks. I guess that I'll find a non-all-or-nothing CO2 inflator and stuff that in to the seat post bag with my tire irons and a spare tube... and I'll see how it works out on the next flat (there's no chance of me being stranded 30 miles from nowhere, so I don't feel the need for a practice run).
I may try some different tires, too, but I'm only two days in to the light, fast and grippy, and I'm not keen on giving that up just yet!
