Real sorry to hear you guys got banged up, but glad the outcome wasn't as bad as it could have been.
We live by the ocean and May means the proliferation of boat trailers. The scenario you describe happens all the time. Worse is when they have to tighten their line and the trailer hasn't passed you yet.
