Bikes: 2004 Litespeed Siena, 1996 Litespeed Obed, 1992 Miele (unknown model), 1982 Meile Uno LS.

You don't have to cross chain to set up the front derailleur. You should get a new chain so it's the correct length, or don't cross chain.
